As an independent insurance agent we represent many insurance companies handling various types of insurance, which enables us to tailor each individual with their own unique insurance plan based on their needs.

Mission
The strategy of Evans, Hauseman & Richard is to provide high quality, competitive insurance products for our customers while maintaining the best in customer service and professionalism. We strive to meet the needs of current clients as well as the needs of our prospective clients on a daily basis.

Evans, Hauseman & Richard is a closed corporation owned by four individuals. The current owners are Ralph Clemmer, Mary Bechtel, Paul E. Hallman, II and Leonard H. Gieseler.

History
The Corporation of Evans, Hauseman & Richard, Inc. has been in existence since September 30, 1965.

S. Wagner Evans started in the insurance business on North Hanover Street in Pottstown in 1931. Leon K. Hauseman started in the insurance business as a life insurance agent with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He merged with Evans in 1945 and had a partnership called Evans and Hauseman.

C. Linford Richard started in the insurance business in 1949 while he was a Justice of the Peace on North Washington Street in Pottstown.

In 1965 the three men decided to merge the two insurance agencies and form a new Corporation and our office initially was located at 410 East High Street in Pottstown. In 1967 we purchased a property at 417 King Street in Pottstown. After purchasing the Evans, Conger & Bahr, Inc in 1994 we had to find larger office space and purchased the building at High & Evans Street, Pottstown. We moved into the office in May 1994. This is our current office location at 343 East High Street.

During the history of our Corporation we have purchased several insurance agencies in the Pottstown vicinity. We purchased the Kern-Lessig Insurance agency in 1982. We also purchased the Evans Brothers agency and Evans, Conger & Bahr, Inc. in 1994. That agency was started in 1859.

The agency is current owned by four individuals who are the sole stockholders. They are Ralph A. Clemmer, Mary L. Bechtel, Paul E. Hallman, II and Leonard H. Gieseler.
